i love it. i wish you showed him in another "ordinary" context, though, like you did good pope john xxiii on a drive. remember those paintings you posted on AR of that artist who portrayed Our Lady of Guadalupe doing 'ordinary' things like putting the crown on her head, etc.?

I did have plans to do that but I thought this looked more surreal - kind of like a drugstore ad or something.

The likeness of this painting is extraordinary, Terry. You did a superb job of extracting (or infusing) a genuine facial expression on this portrait.

With the remodeling I haven't had much time to work on my paintings, unfortunately.

That's really cool! I like the archbishop's smile and the way the train of the cappa is floating around in the air. The whole thing has a very lighthearted touch to it. Kudos!
