Presepio background: Views from the stable windows.

Large background: Shepherds - 30" x 40" acrylic on canvas.

Large background: Bethlehem - 30" x  40" acrylic on canvas.

Small background: Shepherds - 20" x 20" acrylic on canvas.

Small background: Medieval Bethlehem scene.  20" x 20" acrylic on canvas.

Not great art - just naive background paintings - views out the stable window - which will hardly be noticed.  Very fun project!

Gorgeous!!!!

I particularly like the color of the sky. As a child I always loved "midnight blue" in my pack of Crayola crayons and I can see some of it in the sky! :>

Terry-

I'm not trying to flatter you, but you are extremely talented. I LOVE these beautiful pieces!

Let me put it to you this way: you inspire me to turn to my art mediums and paint.

Beautiful!

The Bethlehem piece truly is a Silent Night. It seems so still, so contemplative with the solitary star in the sky and the pathways and walkways devoid of people

Forgot to mention, the skies are intense and starry and beautiful and...simply put, I love them. And I also like the shepherds reaction to the appearing Angel.

Terry

Thank you for sharing them with us.

I'm not really qualified to judge. But oh how grateful I and others would be if we could could see them in person.

Merry Christmas, Terry. And God Bless You!

Ter: These are looking very good. Your style reminds me of Bosch and that's a big compliment coming from me.

Your prayers are answered. The paintings are at the Cathedral to see in person. The photos here do not capture the full effect, especially the sky - the colors are more intense in person. And if you want to take in every detail, remember your opera glasses. It's a busy little town of Bethlehem.

Where is the Creche? Is it the large one outside?

I was going to go over to the Cathedral for Mass this afternoon, but their web page links don't work and I didn't know the time. I ended up at Nativity.

If you know somebody there, tell them that all the links on their new web page are busted.
