Apostolic Visitation
I painted this in the flat, naive style of an ex-voto taking my 'inspiration' from the seminary scandals in Austria as well as related sex scandals in U.S. seminaries - which required at least two apostolic visitations over the years. The painting is meant as a rather 'screwball comedy' interpretation of a subject otherwise offensive and scandalous.

Study for a mural...
This painting was a study for a ceiling that was rejected by the client. I titled it, "The Riddle" - because of the Etruscan roundel in the middle of the composition - Oedipus questioning the sphinx. It was meant as a folly after the Sistine, as if half the ceiling caved in.
